This world-Edit Hylewood by the amazing @nilxis,credit for the terrain and plant placement goes to them.Then the world was redone by one of my favourite creators @Gruesim so the replacement texture roads are to her credit. I used these in my NOLA 1132 Rue Royale gameplay way back in 2022, and never got around to sharing them, oops.

IIRC the Chinoiserie Wallpapers are non-recolorable, but come in 2 variations of normal & albino peacocks.

I forgot what I changed about the Master Suites SP Fireplace. Probably the RGBY channels. Plus it's basegame compatible now.

And ofc you can see the Herringbone patterns, which I love using on floors. Has 3 RBG channels. Found under Wood.

I separated & retextured AikeaGuinea's Sordid Cassette Tapes, and made them stackable. IDER which category they're in--use LazyDuchess' Search Mod like god intended!

"There's a GOBLET on the table!" No worries, it's only decorative & fully recolorable--the "blood" inside is fake. (In that gif you can obvs see the Gramsims Feathers as ACC--tuxedo not included, sorry. Found under Bracelets, Everyday - Outerwear, fully recolorable. And you can also see Lorandia's Rings Male Right, which I redid to only keep 4 of the 8 original rings.)

The Clapperboard comes in 2 non-recolorable variations.

Everyday - Outerwear, Teen - AF, etc etc. I redid the Peggyzone Bag ACC cuz the original wasn't showing up in my game. Recolorable, found under Bracelets, Everyday - Outerwear, blahblah.

I made the Edible Raw Fish tuning mod for 3 reasons:

Not ALL raw fish are edible for werewolves (inc. crocodiles)--thanks a lot, EA

I needed my loup-garou/Swamp!Lestat to be able to actually eat the crocodiles on my bayou lot

OF COURSE I needed a way for Saint Louis to gulp down fish instead of killing sims (especially in my IWTV Mersim AU)

The originals have been revamped. All meshes have been completely redone from scratch. I have fixed some chunkiness, wobbliness, and other strange issues that have been present in the originals since 2019. I also went ahead and made at least 1 new shape for each family while I was at it (plus a bonus shape for Classic that I made as a personal edit, years ago, and forgot about until now)

You may notice a folder labelled 'OLD VERSION' when you click on the download link. These are the original 2019 files, and they are still available if you prefer or need them for any reason whatsoever. You can have both editions in your game at the same time. Any sims wearing the old version will have to manually update to the new ones once you install them.

They are available on the following slots:

Right Brow Ring

You can have any combination of the slots installed in your game, or all of them at once (there is an all slots merged package for your convenience, in this case). If you have multiple slots installed, you can mix and match different antennae on different slots to make your own unique combos!

So what's new?

All the meshes have been remade to look a little smoother, while still staying as close as humanly possible to the shape of the originals.

They have all LODs now!

The placement of the UV maps has changed as well, and as you may be able to see from the Irked images, they can pick up some patterns from your sims' faces now in addition to just colors! (They can all do it, but on my models, Irked is the only shape that really demonstrates this. Play around with antenna/skin overlay combos and see what you get!)

There are also better weights now! The longer antennae especially, as seen below the cut, needed improved weighting. They bend with the body now, instead of clipping through it so much. But, there will still be come clipping issues on larger sims and in some animations. There's only so much I can do

And, perhaps the biggest quality of life improvement, they only take up 1 thumbnail spot in CAS. Simply change the swatches as though you were changing colors to access all of the unique shapes!

"What do I use these with?"

They will work with:

Very cropped tops.

Tops whose waist is texture only/painted on. You might need to change their overlay priority to 5 in S3PE (ask me for details how if necessary), or alternatively, actual naked torso with a texture-only accessory top. Texture-only Accessory tops will be, or should be, usually be enabled for teen-elder.

Slightly lower waisted version will work with most tops that are called "cropped" minus some very minor clipping

Both will generally work with very wide/bulky tops, that aren't too long (the nice booty might clip otherwise)

Edit: i just discovered they will clip when heavily using bodysliders. Unless i can get said sliders in blender as functional sliders, there is not much i can do that will also keep me sane.

!!!The creation ramble!!!

Clarification: I mean the transferred-over bones from the original TS4 creator might be imperfect to begin with, so even if it is a conversion, just using those might not be the end of the story.

Basically, making pants like this that by definition will overlap with whatever top, is a delicate balance between aesthetic (close to the body) and no clipping (requires great bones or further from the body). The female frame seam between top and bottom mesh sits higher, making high waisted stuff for them easy, this is obviously done as high-waisted stuff is popular amongst women and EA knew. Femme male sims they didn't really consider.

I also tried a version where they were texture-only above the traditional seam, but unless I gave the pants absolutely no normal map, there was still a visible seamline. I also didn't like how painted on/jegging-like the details looked.

After learning you can import rigs in blender with geom tools to connect to your geom, and literally see the shape change as you change the weights, I started abusing that possibility.

Due to weights transferring improperly due to the inner tights intersecting, meaning I had to repaint the whole crotch when I did between the slightly differently meshed versions, I also had to repaint the thighs & waist of all 4 versions. But, five days with several 8-hour sessions repainting until 2 am later, I am here:

Note that I didn't check like 15 different extreme animations and there might still be some clipping with certain very active animations, particularly in extreme morphs. But as you can tell I am a huge perfectionist and I am happy

🚨New Save File🚨

Introducing what I'm dubbing the Doo Doo Save File! It's very much still a work in progress, but I decided to post about it now to hold myself accountable. Official release date of Ver. 1 is August! More info under the cut...

About the Doo Doo Save

Originally a save for myself, I've decided to publish it publicly after putting so much effort into this thing (going on year 2...) The idea is for this to be a good starter save for whenever you want to start anew. But also, a save that you can just dive right into and explore (like that of Sims 2). Here are some features of the save:

20 worlds (of packs I own) will be completely redone

All lots are being rebuilt and done (by me!) in a way that fits into their respective worlds.

Each world will have a healthy mix of community and residential lots so your sims won't get bored.

I will be using TOOL mod to add to the world environment, but nothing too crazy. Don't want to crash any games.

The Townies!

Lore, lore, and LORE. All existing and new townies will actually have stories for you to dive into and explore.

Hot/ cold outfits and cosmetic updates for all the townies you love and hate!

DIVERSITY - A lot of different sims to see and interact with.

Additional clubs and custom holidays

Again, one of the goals is to make this a very interactive save. So, many clubs to join and fun holidays to celebrate.

Since this was originally a personal save file, this will include all of the packs I own. So, this will not be a Base Game friendly save. You can check out some of my progress on here (about 70% done!)

Also, for the few that read this, feel free to leave any suggestions on lot types or things you'd like to see in this save. Or you can just say "Hi!"

J & M Legacy Home | Sims 2 Lot Download

This spacious home is built on a 4x3 lot and has a traditional look that incorporates modern touches with plenty of room for all. This lot is very lightly furnished and costs §109,656.

This lot was originally built as an upgraded house for a Legacy challenge family one of my kids was playing years ago--J and M are the initials of the founder, and his wife (who I'm pretty sure was Melissa Fancy). I've redone the upstairs, which required putting on a new roof, and I'm happy to say that for the moment I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Here's a look at the back. The white fence is a Maxis "Lost & Found" object. I'll pop a link near the lot download so you can grab it for your game too if you haven't already.

The lot looks awfully small for a legacy family you might say, and you'd be right! 🤣 I rebuilt the home on a smaller (4x3) lot so it would run faster and be more efficient for playing.

Let's take a look inside and see the floor plan! I'm using a default replacement for the Euro set porch railings so that they are plain white and don't have that ugly neon blue stripe on them. Along those same lines I've also got a default replacement for the Hydrangea shrub to make the eye-searing, neon blue flowers look more realistic. I'll have a link near the bottom of the post if you need to have them in your game too.

1st Floor: Clockwise from bottom left: Dining room, bathroom/laundry, kitchen, back entryway with office nook, family room/music room, entryway, stairs, and living room. Oh yeah, there's a garage in there too, but I bet you can pick out which space that is. 🤭

2nd Floor: Clockwise from bottom left: Master bedroom, master bathroom, kids room 1, bathroom, kids bedroom 2/nursery, kids bedroom 3, upstairs landing, and kids bedroom 4.

As usual, if you don't like something or it doesn't fit your style, tear it out and put something different in.

I’ve run this home through the Lot Compressor so any random references to sims that aren’t there should be removed. I have also run it through the Lot Cleaner to remove any bits of buggy code. This lot comes with a shiny custom thumbnail so it has even more curb appeal in your Lots and Houses bin! 😄

This home uses 3 pieces of CC which you may already have in your game. They can easily be replaced or omitted if you don’t want them though.

H&M Banner improvements

A somewhat odd creation from me, but! I have been really enjoying posing and creating poses, and in that process it dawned on me that it would be fun to have pictures of actual Sims in my clothing stores instead of the semi-ugly stuff that EA gave us. My friend at @kashmiresims was kind enough to pose out a bunch of her lovely townies for some recolors, but when I went to recolor the banner I discovered EA made the texture square. And to fit the Sim in that square, they chopped the legs off and placed them horizontally. I refuse to continue this folly, so off to fix it I went! I have three things for you today :)

1. A default replacement of the original banner, with improved mapping so that the texture is straight and easier to recolor. It was 256x256, now it is 128x512 so same total amount of pixels, it is just long instead of square. I've included redone versions of the original recolors, so they will look the same. However, if you had other custom recolors, they will be broken. Sorry, can't do anything about that unfortunately.

2. I made an add-on mesh that hangs lower because I find the original sits too high to be easy to use in most stores. It is repositoried to the original. Required the default, mapping will be wrong if you don't use the default.

awkward monday upload: my 4t2 conversion of @syboubou's little dino kids set... but almost completely redone, with a bunch of quality of life fixes! those include: no more annoying vignette crunchiness on the deco objects, no more t-posing plushies, and no more giant texture sizes!

major changes have been listed below the cut, but suffice to say that i've been dissatisfied with my conversion of this set for ages and was inspired to redo it when i saw an anon ask @freezerbunny-sims2 got some months ago. i'm considering this a redux and not an update, since the older set isn't specifically 'broken', just not up to my standards. you can't have both though, as they use the same guids!

I WILL NOT be converting items that work fine by unlocking it through S4S. Like hair, earrings, piercings, glasses, hats (actual hats) leggings & socks (not 3D ones, sometimes they work tho). Majority of the time those work by unlocking restrict opposite gender. So, I will not be converting those. This is really for clothes & accessories.

The Sims 3 Easel Painting Replacements Mod

This is an incomplete mod but I am uploading it now since I may never finish it. This is due to the fact that there are 1580!! different paintings your sims can paint on the easel, depending on their traits.

My mod replaces 600 of these 1500 paintings, mostly the basic, brilliant, and masterpiece level paintings that are not affected by traits. There is a heavy bias towards European art movements from roughly 1870-1950 by artists such as Chagall, Modigliani, Cezanne, and Picasso.

Some of the paintings for grumpy and neurotic sims can include darker/scarier themes by artists such as Frida Kahlo, Odilon Redon, and Wifredo Lam.

If my memory serves right, since I did the bulk of this years ago, I replaced the entirety of the "basic" trait-free paintings, including brilliant and masterpiece quality. Less complete but still worked on are some of the paintings for traits I find make up my artist sims, such as artistic, grumpy, and genius.

I don't often play evil, computer whiz or Can't Stand Art sims so those categories are definitely edited less.

I have included some screenshots as a sample of the art, although if you open the file in S3PE you can see more clearly what is included.

If you hate EA's paintings and would like ALL 1580 paintings replaced, I would recommend using this alongside other painting replacement mods such as:

Plum's Replacements (massive credit and thanks also for the fabulous tutorial and files, though this is a lot of pop culture/digital art and will look jarring against my choices)

Medieval Knights Default Replacements (this would actually keep in theme better with the art I have included)

You have two options to use mine and another mod at the same time:

(1) Open the other mod first in S3PE. Then import my mod second via Resource > Import > as dbc. Allow all files to be overwritten if prompted.

!!OR!!

(2) In your packages folder, rename my file to have a zz at the beginning or something else that instructs Sims to load it after the other mod. This is easier but will make your packages folder about 50mb bigger than it needs to be, so I recommend the first method.

I made this for myself and am just sharing in case anyone else wants to use these too. It's "good enough" for my purposes for now but if I ever decide to finish this, I'll share it too. Just don't anticipate that happening any time soon or....ever. I worked on this mostly when I was a loner at university with a lot of spare time, and I have a full time job, a house, friends and cats now.

So if you find this and want to finish the other 900 paintings, please be my guest and include this with whatever you make, I don't need credit or anything. Share it with whoever. I don't really care.

so i know this animation looks incredibly janky and there’s no text but here’s the IMPORTANT thing

the phone is now animated!!

the way i was doing it before, just replacing the prop and using the original EA animation, was great… except for the fact that apparently overriding props via tuning seems just not to work at all. which means the phone color didn’t match the base. either it could stay mismatched, or it could only have 1 swatch and mesh, unless i renumbered 40+ xml references for every color/variation

obviously wasn’t feasible, especially not for allowing people to make their own functional phones

so, after 7 hours of non-stop pain, i’ve redone it! properly! it has a rig and bones and weight paint and everything! it’s a real boy now!

now any cc wall phone can be weight painted and use the tuning 🥺

it seems really small, but this is the first sim/object animation i’ve ever made. and it works!!

i’ll need to do a lot of work to understand animation better and make the phone less jumpy, but i’m so proud rn, i had to share

Just wanted to point out a few things:

Child ACCs

Yuu already made bunny ears for older sims, but I struggled to find anything for kids, so I just converted theirs. There are 3 versions so you can have the Yuu Ears + EA Tail both separately, or merged together as 1 ACC. The Toddler version only has the merged ACC.

Emysims Plush Bunny Toddler Socks REDONE as Shoes

Cuz Emysims' links are all dead, I reconverted their Bunny Sock ACCs (after lowering the egregiously high polys), making them Shoes for Toddlers instead.

Cyberpunk 2077 Bunny Backpack ACC

This stupid thing has TRASH joint assignments, so the arms stretch when sims bend over, and the straps clip terribly, but oh frikkin well.

Bunny & Cloud Rugs

I just lumped a bunch of different ones together, tweaking the colors on a few that didn't match the aesthetique(TM).

Fox ACCs

And as a bonus, I threw in the Fox Ears & Tail ACCs, for all of your huli-jing or kitsune needs! (Garters are found after Socks, so just keep scrolling down.)

So after the long-awaited addition of Infants and Ceilings to the game, I realized I should probably update my one furnished build (so far) for these features. Unfortunately I got carried away again and just ended up revamping the whole build from the exterior, to each individual room + some new ones! This version has also been more extensively play-tested over time with all age groups and pets, with some extra fire hazard and accessibility issues addressed.

Portal in the tower/Collections room also makes potential burglaries more threatening, but if you’re an occult you’re expected to employ practical DADA techniques to avert this

Updated Nursery and Playroom for Infants

Redid terrain paint. Twice. Why tf does it just vanish randomly sometimes

NEW Magic Bean Hunt! Stump is located where the magic realm portal used to be and beans are strategically hidden around the lot. I'd love to see how long it takes for you to catch them all!

Washbasins for rooms without bathrooms now look like washbasins and are actually useable, both on and off grid

Added privacy hedges and lattices to backyard and fenced in chicken run

Potions Crafting Table added to Spell-room

Crafters Supply Cabinet added to Kitchen

Pocketed pocket doors

Secret Cat Room color scheme updated and cat-approved artwork added

Another Cat room added to 3rd floor

Magic Well has been shrunk

A Halloween Gift

Lately, I've been getting back into one of my old fandoms -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And, whenever I get into a fandom, Sims skins usually follow.

So, I decided to make four of my favorite characters from the show -- Buffy, Oz, Tara, and Dawn. They each have 20 different outfits, all with pictures in the .7z files.

Some of their outfits aren't exact recreations, but instead the best I could do within the limitations of Sims 1. Some of them are also recreations of very old skins others had made, redone to look cleaner and use better meshes.

It's probably not what you typically expect from me, but it's something I wanted to make, and I think it fits the occasion. How can you get more Halloween than a vampire slayer, a werewolf, and a witch?🔪🐺🧙‍♀️
